Well, obviously, I'm out of the loop! I had only ever seen large and grand Bentley sedans. Recently, however, I saw a parked sport convertible that I didn't recognize and when I looked to see the make, I was surprised to see it was a Bentley. I briefly took a look at the interior and dashboard. It was so beautifully appointed-not surprising! I noticed a Breitling clock in the dash. A friend later told me that there are also models of Breitling watches with the Bentley name. He also told me that the Bentley sport scars have held world records in fastest times driving on ice! That piqued my curiosity so I looked it up. The latest record seems to be from February 2011 on the frozen Baltic Sea in Oulu, Finland. Bentley also set a record for fastest time on since in 2007. It seems it's not only being on the ice that's the challenge but the extreme temperatures. The temperature in 2011 got down to as low as -30, and there were also sudden blizzards and forceful crosswinds. The driver was Juha Kankkunen, from Finland, who has been a world rally champion four times. Ok, so I'm a bit more in the loop on all this now!
